Oh dear. What have I done? Was I crazy? I haven’t finished editing my first book. I’ve dedicated myself to critiquing. I have a child and husband at home. And now… I’ve signed up for NaNoWriMo.
National Novel Writing Month has one goal. Write a novel, at least 50k words, within thirty days – November 1st-30th. Egads!
I’ve considered what I would write. The Cera Chronicles are too short. I don’t want those to be more than novella size. So I’ve decided I will write Rise of the Teymir, Book 2 of the Niniers. Or at least try to.
*Deep breath*
I don’t often commit myself to writing projects. I had considered joining the Book-in-a-Week community to pump out some Cera Chronicles, but I just didn’t seem to have the time or dedication. So nothing came of it. But now I have publicly declared I have joined NaNoWriMo, said so on Facebook, published it to my blog, and procrastination aside – I will do this.
I will reach the 50k mark. RotT will not be complete, there might be a few glaring plot holes and horrid transitions and likely terrible grammar and less than glamorous description, but 50k should put me a great deal into the story.
It’s been a while since I’ve written new content. This’ll be fun. Really.
*Gulp*
