Here is my second character sketch. I’m happier with the way she turned out. I used the entire paper length, which I didn’t do with Derek. The black diamond is a little too high, which impeded my drawing of the pendant, and I was never very good at drawing cryptic symbols, so it looks more like swirly stained glass than cryptic symbols. MaTisha also doesn’t outwardly show her emotions, so the smile is a rare glimpse.
An inconsistency… MaTisha has straight hair. But wavy hair just came out while I was drawing.
Book: Thanmir War
Name: MaTisha Halqua
Title: Thanmir
Age: A little over 300 annuals
Hair & Eye color: Silver-Blue
Race: Half-human/Half-elemental (no pupils)
Nicely done. a hint of wonder and mystery, nice touch with the hair, texture is good. Good job.
I quite like the effect you’ve done on the diamond, though for a split second it looked like a mega-huge pendant. Which left me thinking “that can’t be right” and “that must be soooo heavy.”
I do love her hair. I know you say it’s meant to be straight, but still love. ^_^
