I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! This week kicks off on a tremendous positive note for This World Bites. Christine Rains posted a review, and her words make me squeal with joy.
If you didn’t know, reviews are everything for an author. A lot of readers base their selection on reviews. If a book doesn’t have any, or has very little, they’ll often pass it up as not worth their time. So if you really want to help an author out, take a moment to write up a review and post it, even if it’s not five stars.
Do you make purchasing decisions based on reviews? Do you review books you read? Did you watch the Super Bowl? Did your team win?
Already visited Christine today.
I do reviews on Goodreads when possible.
And didn’t care who won the Super Bowl, so I just enjoyed it.
I’m happy to have you on my blog today. This World Bites is an awesome read! I agree about reviews. I do read reviews if I have never heard of the author before, and I decide buying it or not based on reviews. I always try to leave a review because I know how very important they are.
I only just started doing reviews for books–since I had no idea how much they help the lovely authors! 🙂 and nope, ha, did not watch the Superbowl. Not a sports fan (except I love my Yankees) and I opted for Disney Channel’s High School Musical Singalong Marathon!
I try to review most of the books I read. I do take reviews into consideration when purchasing a book or deciding to read one. Sometimes a negative review persuades me to read a book more than a slew of positive review.
Didn’t watch the Super Bowl since I don’t care for football, but I did happen to catch the last few minutes of the half-time show and kind of enjoyed that.

Hi, Loni,
I always leave a review if asked to read a book for a fellow blogger/writer. I know how important they are!
Congrats on the excellent review. I’m sure it was well earned.
I went to a Super Bowl party. Not my kind of thing, but I had a great time anyway!
I love reviews. They mean so much to an author. I always try to write them for most of the books I read. I’m glad you’re getting great ones.
I read them (mostly the 2s thru 4s), and I rarely buy a book that has only a few. I’m a picky reader, though. And I agree with Arlee–sometimes it’s the not-so-positive ones that make me buy the story. Unless a slew of them complain about poor editing…
On my way to Christine’s… 🙂
